Kyra Minturn

 Kyra Minturn (born August 19, 1965), is an American actress. Her leading role in TNT's crime drama The Closer as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson is her most famous. Sedgwick was awarded a Golden Globe Award and an Emmy Award for her portrayal as Johnson in 2007. After the seventh season Sedgwick received an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award in 2007 as well as an Emmy Award in 2010. The series ended August 13th on the 13th of August, 2012. Sedgwick is also famous for her part in Brooklyn Nine-Nine's sitcom Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick was nominated for an Golden Globe award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's film credits include Oliver Stone's Born On the Fourth of July (1989) as well as Cameron Crowe's Solos (1992), Heart and Souls (93), Phenomenon (2000) and What's Cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). She was also in The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was born in New York City to Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald), who is a speech and family therapist, as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick, a venture investor. Her mother was Jewish, was of English and Episcopalian descent. Sedgwick has openly declared her Jewish heritage and has said she takes part in Passover seders.
